A Port Charlotte man and two Charlotte County Jail inmates have been charged with conspiracy and introduction of contraband into the County Jail after detectives intercepted an attempt to drop off drugs. CCSO detectives got information that 22-year old Amanda COmbs and 23-year old Elizabeth Apple were planning to have Combs’ boyfriend, 40-year old Harold Ross, help smuggle four oxycodone pills into the Mid-County office Friday. When Ross showed up he was searched and detectives located four oxycodone pills in a small bottle.
