The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of two people for narotics.

It says it has worked with Customers and Border Protection to charge them with cocaine possession.

The sheriff’s office has accused 26-year-old Carlos Vidal of New York and 32-year-old Angel Chico of San Juan, Puerto Rico of conspiring to traffic over 800 pounds of cocaine.

It says a lieutenant recognized the business where the two planned on shipping the cocaine as one that cooperated completely with the investigation.

Both men remain in the county jail.
