A felon on probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was arrested in Charlotte County yesterday after CCSO deputies say they found riding in a pick up truck along with several firearms. The suspect, charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and felony parole violation, is 38-year old Frederick Cunningham of Arcadia. Deputies say they stopped the truck for faulty brake lights. In the truck, and in plain sight, were 2-AR-15 rifles, a .45-70 rifle and two handguns. Cunningham’s in the county jail without bond. The driver of the pickup got a warning for the brake lights.
