Another caregiver charged with abusing an elderly person in Sarasota County. This time, a young woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing almost ten thousand dollars from the person she was supposed to be taking care of. Investigators say 25-year-old Kelly Rott of Sarasota took at least nine thousand five hundred dollars from her client by writing checks to herself on the man’s bank account then cashing them. Rott is now charged with Grand Theft and Exploitation of the Elderly.
