Detectives are investigating a Charlotte Harbor business burglary that happened over the weekend of November 24 in which the suspects blacked out the business’s video cameras and broke into several work vehicles.

On Monday November 25, deputies responded to Garrod Drywall , located at 4271 James Street in the Charlotte Harbor area for the report of a burglary to several vehicles. The business owner told them when his employees arrived for work they found the work vehicles had been forcibly entered and a total of more than $3,000 worth of tools were taken. The video surveillance cameras around the business had been spray painted with black paint.

When deputies checked surrounding businesses, they found surveillance video that showed a white four-door sedan driving in the area of the businesses around 7:00 pm on Sunday November 24. Detectives noted that two males, both of whom were dressed in dark clothing, got out of the vehicle and walked toward Garrod Drywall. Shadowy figures passed back and forth in front of the vehicle’s headlights until the vehicle pulled out of the parking lot.
