Six years after the Tampa Bay Rays moved their preseason games to Port Charlotte, the Atlanta Braves are looking to play spring baseball at a new training facility in Pinellas County, which could hurt the chances of the Rays finding public funding for a new stadium they are seeking. No word yet on what effect these moves to our north could mean for Rays’ preseason activities in our area.
