The investigation continues into Monday’s deadly car wreck in Sarasota.
The highway patrol says 50-year-old Randy Hendrick of Bradenton drove his Cadillac northbound in a parking lot on Business Boulevard. It claims he proceeded northeast and hit a curb.
The patrol says this caused the vehicle to make what it calls a U-turn-type maneuver and travel back southbound. The car then traveled over a curb and hit the north side of a building.
The patrol says Hendrick died at the scene. It claims he wore a seatbelt, but a question remains as to whether or not alcohol played a role in all this.
