It’s been a long time since many Sarasota County employees received raises in their salaries. For some, it’s been at least five years. And while raises are not likely again this year, some added income in the form of bonus checks might appear around the end of the years. County Administrator Randall Reid says he’ll ask the Sarasota County Commission to okay one-time bonus checks of one thousand dollars. If approved, those bonuses would show up right before the December holidays. The bonuses would not be rolled into employees’ salaries in future years.
