The owner of Bob’s Boathouse was granted a 30-day extension to a temporary certificate of occupancy Tuesday after paying the $77,000-plus in utility fees the establishment owed  the county. The Herald-Tribune reports the nautical-themed bar and restaurant was in jeopardy of closing this month after several notifications of outstanding debts from Sarasota County Public Utilities department went unanswered. Last week the restaurant owner sued the county because he said the county readjusted terms after an agreement over the temporary certificate had been made.
