Punta Gorda PD say three people were hurt when their boat slammed into the Charlotte County Bridge Saturday night. According to NBC2, Jerrod Ehling and two family members were thrown from the boat in the crash. The vessel went down right next to a concrete piling it hit on the US-41 Northbound span. FWC’s investigating, but they say alcohol’s not believed to be a factor. They are looking into a possible problem with the boat.
