If you’re a bike rider, some good news. The City of Punta Gorda is opening a self service bike repair station. The station will be at Shreve Street and Virginia Avenue. NBC2 reports the station will be equipped with an air pump, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches and other tools. The “Fixit” station costs nearly $1,000. The city is using impact fees to buy one and hopes bike clubs and civic groups will raise money to purchase more. The city plans on having the station in place by July.
