GOP State Senator Lizbeth Benacquisto has officially announced her run for Congress. She’s joined the field running in the special election to replace former Cong. Trey Radel who resigned last week. ABC7 reports Benacquisto’s in an expanding field of GOP contenders, including Dr. Paige Kreegel and Curt Clawson. The primary date for the special election is April 22.
