The Charlotte County sheriff’s office reports possible movement in a cold case.
Literal movement, that is.
Debbie Bowe in the office says detectives expect to move that Corvette from the canal area at Rampart and Navigator in Deep Creek at some point today.
Someone may ultimately tow the 1982 model to the impound lot at the sheriff’s office.
Bowe says after trying to dredge up and sift through the muck from the canal, no one has found any evidence of human remains.
Depending on the weather, officials may walk and search both sides of the banks of the canal area on Friday to try to find any evidence of Terrance Beghin.
Detectives remain in contact with Beghin’s family.
