Charlotte County deputies have arrested a Port Charlotte couple after watching them steal a BMX bicycle.
According to the Charlotte sheriff’s office, Robert William Isaacs and girlfriend Jaime Melissa Wyatt also had a baby in their vehicle when they stole the bike, which had been set up by detectives as a “bait bicycle” in order to catch suspects involved in a string of bike thefts. Isaacs and Wyatt were charged with grand theft and taken to the Charlotte County Jail. They’ve seen been released on $2,500 bond.
