The father of Chance Walsh has returned to Florida.
WFTS-TV reports authorities have extradited 36-year-old Joseph Walsh from South Carolina, and he has arrived at the Sarasota County Jail.
Meanwhile, a probable cause affidavit shows the he and Kristen Bury argued Sept. 16, and the two have identified that day as the one where their baby died.
Authorities say Walsh hit his son repeatedly and wanted to bash his head “into the ground.”
The report also shows the parents put their son’s body into his crib. When Bury could not stand the smell, Walsh covered him with garbage bags and put him in a closet in their home on Orduna Drive in North Port.
Additionally, the parents told a detective they drove to Elliot Court eight days later, dug a grave, and buried the body.
