The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man over vehicle burglaries at beaches.
It all started last year following reports from parking lots along Manasota Key Road that someone stole cash, credit cards and jewelry.
Detectives found video of the suspect when he used the credit cards, but they could not identify him until last month.
A fingerprint has identified him as Jorge Alvarez of Davie.
Alvarez remains in the Broward County Jail. He faces additional charges in Charlotte County.
