A man has been arrested at a Punta Gorda mission and charged with torching two mobile homes. Charlotte County detectives and state fire marshals are charging 46-year-old Phillip Mullin with arson and burglary in connections with the fires at the Peace River Fish Camp off U-S 17 near the DeSoto County line. Both fires occurred within minutes of each other and investigators say they were both touched off by a cigarette lighter deliberately held against combustible insulation. In both cases, skirting had been removed form the mobile homes to allow the breakins. Mullen held without bond today.
