Noise over some Charlotte County neighborhoods will only get worse in the coming months as Allegiant Airlines adds new flights . Airport officials say they’ve done all they can to curb the problem. Pilots are supposed to avoid flying — especially taking off — over some residential areas, but sometimes they have no choice but to fly over hundreds of homes due to weather conditions. Most of the flights over residential neighborhoods are landings.
