A Sarasota woman who’s accused of killing her boyfriend earlier this week now says he was trying to reach for her gun when she shot him. Previously, 38-year-old Tracey Walls had told investigators that James West had shot himself during an argument at a house in the 15-hundred block of 25th Street Tuesday night. Walls said West had punched her and that she only shot him when he came at her. She told officers she fired four times, hitting him once. Police found West dead and Walls covered with blood when they arrived.
