A young girl’s recanted her story about an abduction attempt in North Port. Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies say the girl gave an elaborate account of the encounter but today admitted that the report was fabricated. The sheriff’s office has closed the investigation. the girl said she had been walking while looking at her cell phone, when an unknown man grabbed her arm and pulled her to the ground, kicked her in the leg and jumped on op of her, and hit the girl in the face… she was then able to kick the man in the groin and yell for help, and the man took off.
