Englewood Elementary School’s Eagle Run is Friday. It’s the 30th anniversary Eagle Run. Kindergarten and first-graders will run at 9am Friday at the school. Second- and third-graders follow at 10 a.m.; fourth- and fifth-graders race at 11 a.m. Principal Mark Grossenbacher says the event is one that builds school spirit for students and families. “It has promoted health and fitness in our community and raised funds for Englewood Elementary for three decades.” In addition to fund raising and physical fitness, parents and community members line the edges of the track to cheer the students on and spray them with water bottles during the run.
