CCSO deputies arrested 28-people, most on drug charges, in “Operation Spring Cleaning.” Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prumell says drugs are the root of all our crimes. If we can root out the drugs, the crime rate will fall. According to NBC2, the 28 arrested faced over 100 different charges. Prummell also says the crackdown on prescription drug abuse has led to a swing back to cocaine, crack, and meth.
