A 123-year-old Punta Gorda home is being deemed a total loss after it caught fire just before 9 a.m., Tuesday.
Crews believe the fire at 45550 Farabee Road was caused by a downed power line.
No one was in the home when it caught fire.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the property owner’s great grandmother used to live in it.
