National Hurricane Center Upgrades Tropical Storm To Idalia saying it could be a Hurricane by Tuesday.
To be classified as a tropical storm, a system must reach 39 mph sustained winds. Idalia’s winds are 40 mph and it is now moving east at 2 mph.
By Tuesday, NHC predicts it will become a hurricane.
