An Englewood motorcyclist died in Sarasota County Wednesday after hitting a vehicle that had turned across its right-of-way. Florida Highway Patrol says that 59-year-old John Martin was pronounced dead at Englewood Memorial Hospital after the 10:30pm collision. He was not wearing a helmet. Charges are pending against the 76-year-old driver of the SUV that caused the incident on Route 776 at Overbrook Road.
