A number of Sun Coast business and civic leaders are returning home after a lobbying trip to the state capital. They’ve been in Tallahassee for three days to tout their ideas and needs in meetings with legislators and state government leaders. High on the list of some of them: trying to prevent the legislature from eliminating the Local Business Tax Act. The Act provides funds for a number of city and county economic development projects throughout the Sun Coast.
