A motorist was killed Friday when the vehicle he was driving hit several cattle that were on the highway. The Florida Highway Patrol identified the man as 61-year-old Lawrence Allegro of Enterprise, FL. Allegro was driving west of Daytona Beach when his vehicle was struck was hit head-on by another vehicle that hit one of the cattle. Allegro hit one of the cattle as well. Allegro died at a local hospital. All three cattle that were hit died.
