A seven-hour standoff ended Wednesday with a Parrish man being arrested. The activity began around 3:30pm on 162 Avenue East involving 54-year-old when David Koverman allegedly fired several shots in the area. SWAT arrived from Manatee County and a portion of the neighborhood was evacuated as the situation was active until shortly before 11pm. Koverman has been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. No other information has been released as to what started the event or if Koverman has a criminal history.
