A traffic stop for a seatbelt violation led to felony drug possession charges. A Charlotte County Sheriff’s Deputy saw a white Toyota at the intersection of Whidden Street and Harborview Drive, whose driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The deputy pulled over 25-year old Devin Nostdahl, who was also driving on a suspended license. The deputy noticed a strong marijuana odor coming from the car. Police then searched the Toyota and found eight sandwich bags, each containing one ounce of marijuana. Nostdahl was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license and a number of drug possession charges.
