Representatives from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will be traveling to Panasonic’s headquarters in Japan next week to attend their Rugged Mobility Summit. The summit seeks input from users on the Panasonic Toughbooks laptops. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office was the first agency in Florida to place a large order of the computers back in 1999. Panasonic is sponsoring the trip, and members of the Sheriff’s Office will serve on forums to share best practices on the technology trends, challenges and successes they have experienced. The forum is the 19th and 20th in Osaka.
