Allegiant yesterday launched new nonstop service from Louisville, Kentucky to Punta Gorda Airport. The new year-round route will operate twice weekly and bring nearly 4,500 additional visitors to southwest Florida. Allegiant currently operates 33 routes to the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). Allegiant senior vice president of commercial Lukas Johnson told the Aviation News the flights will continue to provide economic growth in the Punta Gorda area.
