The wife of a rock star living in Osprey looks to have made a poor decision on Monday. 61-year-old Donna Betts, the wife of Allman Brothers Band founding member Dickey Betts was captured on video pointing a rifle at a high school rowing team. The incident happened early Monday evening when members of the Sarasota Crew rowing team were getting set to practice. Deputies say as members of the team got into the water, Betts was spotted nearby with a rifle. She was allegedly threatening to shoot members of the team. Betts reportedly said that she would shoot any of the students or coaches who trespassed. The entire exchange was caught on cell phone video, which acknowledges the verbal abuse that Betts delivered. At no point, according to police, was anybody on Betts’ property.
