The Sarasota County Croquet Club will hold the official opening of its new croquet courts in Venice later this month. The courts are located at the intersection of Pinebrook Road and Lucaya Avenue in Wellfield Park in Venice, two miles south of Exit 195 on I-75. The courts are located on property owned by the City of Venice and maintained by the Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department. The Croquet Club was formed in 2000 and now has 200 members. The official opening is scheduled for Thursday, March 16th, at 2 PM.
