Florida Democrats want a special legislative session to discuss gun laws.
Over 30 senators and representatives have signed a petition and sent it to the secretary of state.
If after a poll of both houses that a majority agrees, then that special session could take place to discuss new laws.
The governor and Republican leaders do not support such a session.
