A Punta Gorda hot spot is getting a makeover. Last week, Fisherman’s Village started a $40 million expansion and renovation project that will take five years to complete. Among the planned improvements are more parking, new restrooms, better beach access, a pool, and a larger central court. The Harborwalk area will also be expanded, right around the corner from where nine new oyster reefs were dedicated earlier this week.
