Turner’s Gulfshore Pain and Wellness Center was shut down yesterday when DEA agents backed up by Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies raided the office. Agents were seen leaving the building with boxes of reacords. NBC2 reports patients already at the clinic were asked to leave and not return. Turner and office manager Rosetta Connata were arrested. Authorities say they are expected to face drug possession and distribution charges. Connata used to be an MD, but surrendered her license after pleading guilty to similar charges in 2008. WINK News reports federal prosecutors are expected to demand that if convicted, Turrner surrender his medical license as well as part with money and property earned through illegal drug sales.
