They’re considering a referendum question, asking voters for approval to borrow money for street paying and several other big ticket projects. The Herald-Tribune reports Stantec Consulting Services assessed the streets and says $15-million would fix everything. Stantec says 21% of the city’s streets need work, whose well below the 70-out of 100 target the city strives to maintain. Among the worst are Warfield Avenue South, Ponce de Leon Avenue, and Manatee Court. The consult’s report suggested more regularly schedule maintenance to extend the useful life of repaved roadway.
