Traffic was shut down in both directions for about an hour this afternoon, making it a nightmare to get around the Mall at University Town Center because of a natural gas leak at University Parkway and Cattlemen Road. A Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson says what caused that leak is still under investigation.
