Here’s where Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies are going to be doing special traffic enforcement this week….

They’ll be looking for speeders on US 41 between Cranberry and Enterprise Drive and on Kings Highway between US 41 and Sandhill Boulevard in Port Charlotte. They will be monitoring complainc with traffic signals at the intersections of US41 and Jones Loop Road in Punta Gorda; and at State Route 776, McCall Road, and Oriole Boulevard in Englewood. The State Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, Charlotte County’s had 5 vehicle fatalities so far this year; there were 3 deaths this same time last year.
