Venice wants people to save the date — Oct. 25.

The Tri-County Community Foundation sponsors the event, which the city calls a fun way for families and friends to gather at its parks to make them sparkle and shine.

The city says regardless of whether or not people can trim, paint, or plant, they have projects waiting for them that morning.

The event runs three weeks from tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon. All volunteers get free lunch at Maxine Barrit Park that afternoon.

People can sign up at www.venicecares.com.
