Triple-A reports gas prices have dropped for the seventh straight week.

This puts prices at their lowest points since February.

Nationally, the price of gas has fallen six cents in the last week.

Triple-A’s Josh Carrasco says refineries have just switched from producing summer-blend fuels to the ones for winter. He says it costs less to produce winter-blend gas because it does not require the additives that summer-blend gas needs.

Additionally, Carrasco says the country keeps benefitting from historic domestic oil production.

Florida’s regular unleaded gasoline average sits at $3.29, three cents below last week’s number.
