Delays and Increased Costs for I-75 Interchange

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. A local interchange project is going to get started later, and cost more, than originally thought. This time it’s the diverging diamond interchange at I-75 and University Parkway. Costs are up 20% before the first spade of dirt is turned, and the start date is now more than a year away. One of the big new costs: building a mile-long wall to muffle traffic noise for some people who live nearby. This is the first diverging diamond interchange to be built in Florida.
