CCSO detectives have arrested a Port Charlotte man on charges tied to a Wednesday purse snatching. 20-year old Aaron Watts of Port Charlotte’s charged with robbery and grand theft. The purse snatching happened in the parking lot of the Publix on Cochran Boulevard in Port Charlotte. Investigators say they tracked Watts down through a van he borrowed from another man and allegedly used in the purse snatching. The owner of the van, when questioned by detectives, said Watts admitted to him that he’d used it in two purse snatchings. Watts is being held at the Charlotte County Jail without bond.
