Charlotte County School board members have made a major investment in their bus fleet. NBC2 reports they’ve approved a contract to convert 30 of their buses to run on natural gas, some they say will save money in the long run. Tallahassee company “Nopetrol” won the contract bid. They district will spend up to $155,000 for each new CNG bus, but they expect to save $100,000 a year on fuel annually. The first new buses should be on the road in 2016
