Sarasota County commissioners have asked interim County Administrator Thomas Harmer to take the job of County Administrator permanently. The Herald-Tribune reports Harmer was the deputy county administrator, before the dismissal of former Administrator Randall Reid. County Attorney Stephen DeMarsh has been asked to work with Harmer to draw up a contract.
