Some Port Charlotte business owners are not happy. They’ve been cut off from customer by a huge
micro tunneling project on Midway Boulevard. The road’s being widened to four lanes, and to deal with more storm water runoff near US 41 and Conway Boulevard, and to handle that larger drainage pipes are being installed. Business owners tell NBC2 they didn’t hear a word about the construction until a notice went out last week, and the road closed signs going up. Some businesses say if the county doesn’t give them a break, they’ll relocate to Punts Gorda.
