FWC’s investigating after a serious boat – jet ski crash yesterday in Charlotte County.

Charlotte County Fire and EMS officials say they gota call around 4:30 on the crash. The boat had 4-aboard, and one man was on the jet ski. The crash threw everyone into the water. A passing sailboat picked them up and got them to Stump Pass Marina. NBC2 reports the 54-year old on the jet ski was taken to Englewood Community Hospital with severe injuries, including an amputated leg. A woman on the boat was airlifted to Lee Memorial with possible chest injuries. Another man, a woman, and a 12-year old boy were also taken to Englewood Community.
