Jobs may soon pop up to the direct south.
The Hertz rental car company has just taken ownership of the land that soon serves as the home to its new corporate headquarters in Estero.
The company has already announced it would move to a 35-acre site on Highway 41.
Hertz has paid $11 million for the property, and offices may employ 700 people.
A groundbreaking tentatively takes place this fall.
