The group that has been holding a round-the-clock sit-in at Governor Scott’s office since the verdict was reached in the George Zimmerman murder trial now says it will focus on voter registration drives at college campuses across the state. The Dream Defenders say they have a goal of registering 61-thousand, 550 new voters. That was Governor Scott’s margin of victory back in 2010. The Defenders also submitted what it calls “Trayvon’s Law” which would help end racial profiling, repeal Stand Your Ground laws, and end what it calls the “school to prison pipeline.”
