Signs are popping up in parking lots all over Charlotte County, reserving spaces for wounded military veterans. NBC2 reports the Kays, Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home installed one of the signs at its Punta Gorda office Monday. It’s the first private business in the county to do so. A spokesperson for the home says it’s important to recognize the sacrifices of the nations veterans.
The county installed 40-wounded warrior parking signs at parks and government buildings this spring. The signs are courtesy of the Wounded Warriors Family Support organization.
